French Troops Clash with Central African Republic Gunmen

French troops in Central African Republic clashed with gunmen in the capital, as they searched for weapons. France has moved 1600 troops into its former colony, to disarm rival Muslim and Christian fighters responsible for hundreds of killings since last week. Morning shootings erupted near the airport, after gunmen refused to hand over their weapons.
