SALINAS, Calif. - St. Patricks Day marked the second annual Green Day at Bardin Elementary. Local green organizations teamed up with the school in an effort to teach youngesters the importance of practicing environmental habits.
The school also held a competition for the youngsters who created and displayed their most intuitive creations all from recycled products. Bardin elementary has stressed the importance of green habits to its students from the beginning. A project on its campus shows a bench in the playground area made entirely of plastic.
