
SALINAS, Calif. - The popular social networking site Myspace is offering an Amber Alert application. According to Myspace, users can "Help save a child's life by displaying Active Amber Alerts" on their profile.
Despite an era of internet crimes, It's believed more adults and parents are using the social networking site to stay in touch with their children.
It's the first and only Amber Alert system for Myspace profiles.
You simply install the Amber Alert application like any other Myspace application. Once installed an Amber Alert box will appear on your profile displaying any current alerts, or if there are none, the text "There are no active alerts" will appear.
Whenever new Amber Alerts are issued or existing alerts change status your profile will automatically update to reflect those changes.
This system covers Amber Alerts for both the United States and Canada.
The AMBER Alert system is a proven success and has helped rescue more than 324 children nationwide since it's creation.
