According to Molyneux, the origin of where these so called medical edibles, is an issue that local and state laws question. Molyneux is aware that state government may further investigate the dispensary organizations around the state and may further control the cause by setting up guidelines. In the wake of that possible issue, she immediately hired pastry chefs to head the making of marijuana based goods.
"So we immediately hired two pastry chefs that are patients and now on staff and are using commercial kitchens right now to make our edibles," said Molyneux. "We want to bring them in house so we have all control on how the edibles are made and how the kitchen is kept. It gives the city more ability to help us control that, we work with our city because they work with us."
Molyneux said that her shop was the first dispensary on site in Santa Cruz. In addition, she wants the organization to have answers and resolutions before local and state concerns and questions are asked. She also has hope that her organization will be a model for the state on distribution on medicated edibles and hope it would spread to every city.
