
MORGAN HILL, Calif- According to a 76 year-old man, Paul Alexander, a paramedic, stole his prescription pain medication.
On November 23 the victim fell and injured his shoulder. AMR responded and transported him to the hospital.
According to the 76 year-old victim, Alexander went back to his home, while in uniform and asked to inventory the victim's prescribed medication since they had lost the list the day before. The victim says that Alexander briefly went into the bathroom where the medication was stored and left.
Alexander allegedly returned to the victim's home three more days during that week, while out of uniform.
On the last day Alexander visited the victim's wife went to retrieve a pain pill from the bathroom cabinet and noticed that pill bottle was empty. According to the victim, it appeared Alexander befriended he and his wife and used their bathroom each time to steal the pain medication.
The victim told the officer that Alexander apologized to him for taking the pills.
Alexander was arrested and booked into county jail on two counts of burglary.
