KCBA - Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz - News Weather-Davenport to Improve Water Distribution System

DAVENPORT, Calif- Supervisor Coonerty announced that Davenport has been awarded $555,000 to improve their water distribution system.
"I'm extremely excited that we were successful in obtaining these much needed funds to upgrade Davenport's water lines," said Supervisor Coonerty. According to Coonerty, the existing system is very old and has serious leakage problems.
The funding grant was provided by the Community Development Department and comes on top of a &1.6 million grant of federal stimulus money to upgrade the community's water treatment facilities.
That project is now under construction.
