CASTROVILLE, Calif.- For over twenty years the Cava family always holds a huge Thanksgiving dinner in castroville for anyone who wants to come.
But for the first time, this year the family couldn't do it, so members of the community stepped up to the plate to keep the tradition alive.
Over 100 volunteers from all counties on the Central Coast were on hand to help out, and 800 bags of food donations were given to familes who came to the dinner.
The group serving said they expected to feed 1,500 people.
