
SALINAS, Calif- A man who had gone to pick up his watch after being repaired, ended up walking out empty handed after being the victim of an armed robbery.
A jewelry store on 911 E. Alisal was robbed at around 11am Friday. Three armed suspects entered the store and demanded everyone to put their hands up and hand over their money.
Jose Escutia said a gun was pointed at him and he had no choice but to hand over the $200 he had.
The owner of the store said the suspects fled with about 12 to 15 watches worth around $1500, but he is staying positive and is glad no one was hurt.
Salinas Police responded to the robbery and continues the investigation.
