Police Say Transients Raped 13 Year-Old Girl

GILROY, Calif- Wednesday night, police say that, Cresencio Eberardo Blas, age 29, and Benancio Quinones Leon, age 49, both transients, raped a 13 year-old girl.

The victim was in the area of Christmas Hill Park when she encountered Blas and Leon who had previously established a homeless encampment adjacent to the creek .

Police say that the victim spent a few hours talking with the two and that they provided the victim with various intoxicants. Then without warning, the victim was sexually assaulted several times by both males.

The victim eventually summoned help and the police were notified. The victim was treated at a medical facility.

Detectives were notified and responded to the area and located Blas and Leon.  Both suspects were positively identified by the victim and they were arrested.They were booked at the Santa Clara County Jail on a variety of felony charges. The charged crimes potentially expose the suspects to life terms in prison if convicted.
