SALINAS, Calif- The Salinas Fire department is calling the site of a Wednesday morning fire a crime scene.
Salinas Fire Chief Kim Raddatz says the fire was located at a house on de Cunha Court and that no one was home at the time.
Neighbors say that the owners are out of the country and had asked them to keep an eye on the house. They say that they last checked the house sometime last night and it was ok, when they went back this morning there was smoke filling the house.
According to the Chief Raddatz there were several fires set throughout the house and, due to the sprinkler system, there is heavy water damage. At this time it is not known how much of the house was damaged by flames.
