WATSONVILLE, Calif- The budget crunch is forcing the City of Watsonville to close most facilities next week.
On Tuesday, the city said it will be closing because as part of a deal with city employees. They agreed to take a 10% pay cut in exchange for having more days off during the holidays.
Watsonville is dealing with a $4.5 million budget deficit. Essential services like police and fire departments will remain open.
