SALINAS, Calif. - A fire inside an East Alisal bar forced the evacuation of neighboring businesses Sunday morning.

Workers inside a restaurant next door to the bar called 911 around 11 a.m. after seeing smoke come through the adjoining wall; the bar was closed at the time.  Salinas firefighters evacuated most of the strip mall as they checked for the fire on the roof and inside the bar.

No one was injured and the extent of the damage is unknown.
