SANTA CRUZ, Calif- A man is arrested for brandishing a hand gun and possession of marijuana in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue
Early this morning witnesses stated that the passenger of a Volvo brandished a firearm and yelled some derogatory comments as the vehicle drove by. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect and a partial description of a vehicle. Officers searched the area and located a vehicle matching the description at the El View Lodge in the 800 Block of 3rd Avenue.
Officers conducted a high-risk car stop on the vehicle and detained the occupants. The passenger of the vehicle, William Elmore, was positively identified by a witness as the suspect in the brandishing.
Officers located an airsoft gun in Mr. Elmore's pocket as well as some marijuana. Elmore was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail for exhibiting the firearm, making threats with an intent to terrorize and possession of marijuana.
