California Highway Patrol is on scene of an accident in Watsonville.  It happened on Whiting just east of Paulsen. Central Coast News Crews are on scene gathering information.

Police are telling us it was a single vehicle accident.   A grey Silverado truck was traveling eastbound on Paulson Road when it ran off the road and collided with a tree.

The driver and front seat passenger died.  Three others were airlifted to the hospital.  Their conditions are unknown.

CHP says they believe that the driver was intoxiated.  They found alcohol in the car.
