KCBA - Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz - News Weather-San Ardo Woman Guilty of Fraudulent Voter Registration

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif - On October 30, 2009, 33 year old Irene Madrigal of San Ardo pled guilty to a violation of fraudulent voter registration. Madrigal was sentenced to three years probation and 60 days in jail.
Irene Madrigal, a parolee with prior felony convictions, had registered to vote and had voted in a school board recall election.
Election laws prohibit persons who are on parole from voting in public elections.
