SOLEDAD, Calif - Escaped inmate, Phillip Anthony Lopez has been caught.   Central Coast News has just learned that information from the Department of Corrections.

We are still learning information on how he was found.  We do know he was located in Lompoc, California, which is south of Vandenberg Airforce Base.

Lopez walked away from Gabilan Fire Camp, a low risk correctional facility Monday morning.

Phillip Anthony Lopez was last seen at a bed check around 1:00 a.m. Monday. Five minutes later he was gone.

Lopez was sent to the correctional facility after he was found guilty of manufacturing, selling and possession of weapons, and possession of a controlled substance.

The inmates at Gabilan Fire Camp help fight fires in California.
