Napa Quake Help Center Now Open

NAPA, CA _ The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a second minor earthquake Sunday morning near Napa. A 2.5 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in Green Valley, about seven miles east southeast of Napa. The earthquake was reported at 6:37 a.m. Meantime, a new assistance center has opened to help victims.

Statewide Plastic Bag Ban Expected Today

SACRAMENTO – The California Assembly has approved legislation that would impose the nation’s first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags. SB270 passed on a 44-29 vote Thursday after failing to advance earlier in the week. It now heads to the Senate, where it must be approved by Sunday.
