Experts are warning there could be a worldwide gas shortage because of heightening tensions in the Middle East. The Iraqi government says it is still on control of the country’s biggest oil refinery some witness says militants have hung black banners outside the refinery to show that they have taken over the refinery. It’s a tense situation that has already led to gas shortages in the Middle East. Some drivers there are waiting nearly an hour in line for gas. While only 4% of the oil used here in the US comes from Iraq, economists are worried gasoline prices could soar.
