Madrid, Feb 10 (Entravision) .- The storm that is hitting Spain, with strong winds, has resulted in the court of maritime communications in the Strait of Gibraltar, more than 4,000 children affected by the closure of schools in Galicia (northwestern) and the fall of trees and destruction in the streets of the cities.

In Madrid, the wind knocked down a large obelisk causing no casualties or major damage.

The snow fall in the last few hours in Castilla y León (center) has forced the closure of four road stretches, while in another twenty roads chains are required, and the region is also attentive to the flooding rivers.

The State Agency of Meteorology has been turned on for this Tuesday yellow alerts and oranges in 18 provinces of 13 autonomous communities and in the city of Melilla, in north Africa.

The Directorate General of Civil Protection and Emergency alert that this Tuesday could snow throughout the region of Madrid.

The temporary sea will become more intense in some areas of the north and northwest, as well as the northeast, the south and the archipelagos of the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
