Romeo Santos and Prince Royce lead the nominations for the Billboard latino

Miami (USA), Feb 5 (Entravision) .- The bachata Romeo Santos and Prince Royce topping the list of the artists more nominees to the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2014, which will be delivered on Thursday April 24 during a gala to be held in Miami, Florida (USA), according to unveiled today its organizers.

Santos is a finalist in 17 categories, among which are the Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and producer of the year, while Royce competes in 16 categories that include Artist of the Year Solo and Tropical Album of the Year by two of his productions: ” # 1 ‘s” and “I am the same”.

The list of stars with multiple nominations includes in addition to the Puerto Rican salsa singer Marc Anthony, who is competing for fifteen awards and the now defunct regional Mexican singer Jenni Rivera, which makes it by eleven.

A bachatero and four exponents of Mexican regional music compete for the prize for the composer of the Year. They are Romeo Santos, Espinoza Peace, Gerardo Ortiz and Luciano Moon Diaz.

Also, the artists nominated for the “Artist of the Year, Social Networking” are Enrique Iglesias, the cuban-american rapper Pitbull, Prince Royce and Shakira.

The prize for the Crossover Artist of the Year, which recognizes that achievement transcend the language barrier, you will be given to one of the four finalists: Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Robin Thicke or Bruno Mars, of Hispanic origin and who acted this weekend in the middle of the Super Bowl, in a program followed by 111.5 million people.

These awards honor the Latin music and its exponents in more than forty categories according to their performance in the sales charts and with its popularity, as well as by its broadcast on radio and the internet.
