Miami (USA), Feb 5 (Entravision) .- CNN has decided to throw shut down its channel CNN Latino, Hispanic oriented to the public of the United States, by not having met “the expectations of business”.

After a year of its launch, the channel has not been consolidated among the favorites of the audience, in spite of the “great effort” by the staff of the chain, says a statement.

The closure will occur throughout the month of February.

The channel was offering programming in Spanish currently made for the US Hispanic market, in direct competition with other chains already consolidated as Univision or Telemundo.
