It is near freezing temperatures in Kiev, and protesters are digging in for a long fight. It has been two weeks since they occupied Independence Square. Their aim is to topple the government of President Viktor Yanukovich, for abandoning a trade agreement with the European Union, and, in effect bringing Ukraine closer to Russia. On Sunday (December 8) night protesters were setting up barricades to block access to Kiev's main government building.
